In Kołobrzeg there are three ways to drink coffee with a sea view: right by the beach, on the pier or many floors above the town. We picked eight places, checked their opening hours and guest ratings, and at the end we tell you where to catch the sunset.
By the beach and the harbour entrance
Pergola
Pergola is a restaurant on the seafront promenade, close to the harbour entrance. From its terrace you see the beach, the breakwaters with a green and a red light at their tips, and ships heading out to sea. In season you can also sit on the roof, where the view reaches further than from the promenade. It is a restaurant, but you can come in just for coffee, and at sunset there are few better places in town. It is open daily from 10:00 to 22:00 and guests rate it ★ 4.2 from over 3,900 reviews.

Bulwar Cafe and Cafe Americano
These two cafés stand side by side on Szymańskiego Street, on the boulevard between the harbour and the beach. Bulwar Cafe (no. 6) has outdoor seating, welcomes dogs and is open daily from 10:00 to 21:30. Guests rate it ★ 4.2 from over 800 reviews.
Cafe Americano (no. 8) also has outdoor seating but keeps shorter hours: daily 10:00 to 18:00, on Thursdays until 22:00. Its ★ 3.4 from over 1,300 reviews shows that guests are clearly divided. The view of the harbour and the beach is the same as next door, though.
On the pier: TRio Molo Cafe
TRio Molo Cafe sits on the lower deck of the pier, so you drink your coffee right above the water. It is open daily from 10:00 to 21:00 and guests give it ★ 4.1 from over 1,200 reviews. With wind from the sea the pier is noticeably colder than the promenade, so bring a warmer layer.
High above the town
The rotating café on top of Hotel Arka
The rotating café occupies a room at the top of Hotel Arka on Sułkowskiego Street. The floor makes a full turn, so over one coffee you see the sea, the pier, the harbour and the town in turn. Guests rate it ★ 4.5 from over 1,200 reviews. It is open all year: Monday to Thursday from 10:00 to 21:00, Friday to Sunday from 10:00 to 22:00. Before sunset expect a queue for the lift. We wrote more in a separate article about the rotating café.
Widokówka Cafe on the 12th floor
Widokówka Cafe is on the 12th floor of the building at Sikorskiego 3. From the terrace you see the Baltic on one side and the rooftops of the town on the other. It is open all year, daily from 10:00 to 22:00, and dogs are allowed. Rating: ★ 3.9 from over 1,300 reviews.
Marini Cafe at Hotel Marine
Hotel Marine at Sułkowskiego 9, a few dozen metres from the beach, has Marini Cafe on its top floor. The windows look out to sea, and in the evening it is a good spot for the sunset. Current opening hours are on its profile.
Kamienny Szaniec: for the view, not the coffee
Kamienny Szaniec (the Stone Redoubt) is a former fortification of the old Kołobrzeg fortress, set in the dunes by the beach, near Fredry Street. A restaurant has operated here for over a hundred years, and the tables look out to the open sea. It is worth a visit for the view and the history, but the coffee does not live up to the view. If good coffee matters to you, have it elsewhere on this list and come to the redoubt for a walk or for lunch.
Until recently this list also included the café at Hotel Bałtyk. It is closed until the renovation is finished.
Where to watch the sunset over coffee
The best months are May to August, when the sun sets over the sea. The widest views are from the Pergola terrace, the rotating café and Widokówka. In summer a free table can be hard to find just before sunset, so arrive half an hour early. In autumn the days are short: in November the sun sets at around 16:00.

Coffee with a sea view after the season
The rotating café and Widokówka Cafe are open all year. At the other beachside places opening hours may change after the season, so check the current ones on their profiles with us. The full list is on our page of cafés with a sea view, and if you are coming in autumn, read what Kołobrzeg is like in November.
