Breakfast in Kołobrzeg looks different at six in the morning, different at nine, and different again on Sunday. Fifteen venues in our database serve breakfast and open by half past ten at the latest. Below they are sorted by the clock and by district, with ratings and addresses, so you do not end up outside a locked door.
Before eight: bakeries only
At six in the morning only bakeries and patisseries are working. The earliest is Mielnik, with three addresses open from 6:00: Armii Krajowej 28, Armii Krajowej 20c and Łopuskiego 29. The bakery at Okopowa 22B also opens at 6:00, the same one we recommend to spa guests, six days a week.
At 7:00 Stara piekarnia Wierzbowscy opens at Jedności Narodowej 51, rated 4.2 from over 1,600 reviews, which makes it the most reviewed bakery in town. On Sunday it starts at 8:00 and works until 21:00.
This is breakfast in its basic form: coffee and something from the oven. For eggs you wait until eight.
From 8:00: the first proper breakfasts
Jaremko Soli, Sienkiewicza 17D, is the highest rated breakfast address in town: 4.9 from nearly six hundred reviews. The kitchen starts at 8:00 from Monday to Saturday, at 9:00 on Sunday. Breakfast is on the menu all year, not only in season, which is rare in a town that lives off tourists. Add specialty coffee, filter brew for those who drink it without milk, and Japanese matcha. There is one drawback: this is the Radzikowo estate, a good two kilometres from the Old Town, so you have to travel there.
Captain's Mess, Jedności Narodowej 22a, has breakfast in its name and is open from 8:00 to 12:00. Seven days a week, rated 4.5 from 178 reviews. Plan to arrive before noon.
Dworcova on Aleja Kolejowa also opens at 8:00, rated 4.9. Breakfast is not on the menu, but it is the earliest proper café in town, working seven days a week until 16:00.
Spa district
The best known breakfast address in this part of town is Café La Mer at Zwycięzców 15: 4.9 from over 1,100 reviews, a short menu, Turkish eggs. It opens at 8:30 on weekdays and 9:00 at the weekend, and works until 18:30.
The rest start at nine:
- Caffe Venezia Moderno, Solna 11a – 4.4 from nearly 1,900 reviews, daily from 9:00, on Saturday until 21:00.
- Cukiernia Sowa, Źródlana 7a – 4.5 from almost 1,100 reviews, from 9:00 to 20:00, on Sunday 10:00–18:00.
- Krówki Kołobrzeskiej, Rodziewiczówny 1A – 4.6, from 9:00 to 21:00, on Sunday until 18:00.
Old Town and centre
For coffee the first to open is Colbergcoffee at Dubois 21A, at 8:45, and at 9:00 on Sunday. It is a roastery with its own roast and the highest rated venue in town, 4.9 from over two thousand reviews. Breakfast here comes Italian style, on the sweet side, so if your day starts with coffee and something to go with it rather than scrambled eggs, this is address number one.
For food: W Filiżance Café at Narutowicza 11 opens at 9:00 (10:00 on Sunday) and works until 21:00, rated 4.5 from over 1,200 reviews. Fit Cake at Gierczak 12B only starts at 10:00, but has breakfast in a lighter version and 4.7 from over five hundred reviews.
Port and the west side
OMNI KAISER Patisserie at Morska 6 opens daily at 9:00 and holds the best rating around the port, 4.8 from nearly five hundred reviews. It is a patisserie with single-portion desserts, so breakfast here turns out on the sweet side.
On the west side Słodki Domek nad Morzem at Jedności Narodowej 49 opens at 10:30 and works until 18:00, rated 4.7 from over seven hundred reviews. On the same street, at number 30, Lepetitcamion opens at 9:00, a small spot with nothing but fives, though from 26 reviews so far.
What is open on Sunday
Of the fifteen venues with breakfast, nearly all work on Sunday, usually an hour later than on weekdays. The exceptions are worth knowing: the bakery on Okopowa street works six days and is closed on Sunday, while Cukiernia Sowa and Krówki close earlier on Sunday, at 18:00.
The longest open on Sunday are W Filiżance and Caffe Venezia Moderno, until 21:00 and 20:00. If you are going to mass at the basilica, Colbergcoffee from 9:00 and W Filiżance from 10:00 are both on the way, within two hundred metres of the church.
